Waco 62Y is configured much the same as the Waco that won the 1929 National Air Tour, even down to legendary air racer, John Livingston's number 26 on the tail.

The great Johnny Livingston was the inspiration for Richard Bach’s famous book “Jonathon Livingston Seagull”

 Owners Dave and Jeanne Allen grew up in California's San Joaquin Valley where Dave was sprayed by a crop duster at a young age. This apparently caused a life long affinity for round engine biplanes.

Together they resurrected Waco ASO NC662Y in 1999, which had been all but destroyed in what else? - a crop dusting accident. It took five years of hard work, but with a lot of help, Dave and Jeanne are now sharing their dream in the Waco Straight wing.
